Novel Writing Software
Writing Software that Practically Writes Your Novel For You!
After many years of writing frustration, I figured out the real secret to writing: creating a solid, compelling plot – or what many authors call “plotting.”
After writing and publishing my own books, I refined the process of plotting and wrote an international best-selling book called The Marshall Plan® for Novel Writing that thousands of writers have used to successfully create their own novels.
But many of my readers wanted something more — something that would streamline the process of novel writing, while remaining true to the principles of plotting outlined in my book. I teamed up with editorial consultant and fellow literary agent Martha Jewett to create The Marshall Plan® Novel Writing Software.

Another fan anxiously awaiting the Mac version! Thanks for such a great resource!
do yo have aversion for macs.
Any projected release date for the Mac version of your software? Is it still in the works? I noticed people have been waiting for this for a very long time. Do you need beta testers?
Thanks,
Chris
I love TMP and, as much as I love TMP workbook, I love the software more. It’s a very simple, no-frills program, but it has really helped me to work through the plot kinks in the novel I’m TRYING to write. It’s helped me keep the story focused on the heroine’s story goal, so that I can always keep her pointed in the right direction
I’ve tried outlining novels before and I’ve always given up because I’d get to the middle and have no idea where to go from there, or because I ran out of story, or because … hundreds of other things. TMP has helped me get my novel outline – best of all, everything makes sense now that I’ve structured it using TMP software.
I also have to say that Evan Marshall has been wonderful, offering me personal support and encouragement. Thank you for that, Evan, and for this phenomenal program. I love it!
when is the mac version due out.? Some of us would like to get a projected date.
The Marshall Plan Novel Writing Software makes writing a novel effortless! I recommend it to all aspiring and established writers! Thanks so much, Evan, for this amazing software!
Is there any hope left for a Mac version? If not, has anybody tried running Marshall Plan on a Mac using a windows emulator like Crossover-Mac? If so, how did it work?
I’m waiting for the Mac version as well. Last update was that it would be available before the end of the year. Is this still on target given it’s the end of December? I haven’t heard about running it on a Windows emulator… Any one else?
This is fantastic software, with an intelligent and instructive step by step guide to getting you the writing results you desire. Brilliant work! Also, the service provided by the TMP is bar none. An all round fantastic product!!
What does the software cost? Will this suit a teen wanting to learn to write a book?
Regards
Linda
Hi Linda,
The software costs $149. The Marshall Plan is a highly structured approach to plotting and writing a novel, so you may indeed find it helpful. You might also benefit from the book on which the software is based, The Marshall Plan for Novel Writing.
I hope this is helpful.
Best,
Evan
I’ve now been using this fantastic software for nearly two years. I am (normally) an unstructured writer, and this program has helped me keep on track throughout. Now have 4 e-books self-published on kindle. I am eternally grateful to Evan for his generous assistance.
I enquired about a Mac version and Evan kindly responded to say they would be releasing a Mac version in April 2012.
When the new mac version is out, will it be compatible with lion 10.7? I know that some mac software is not working with it. It is very important because I want this software!! Please, please, please be compatible with lion 10.7!
thanks
Yes, the Mac version of our software will be fully compatible with Lion 10.7.
