This is amazing. Thank you so much for this priceless information.
I have just completed my first novel and wish this had been available a year ago. Even so, it seems I have been doing things right so confirmation is great after so much work. Tonight I will sleep well!
Thank you again

A report of publishers that will work directly with authors is mentioned in this podcast. How can I get the link mentioned? I have a novel that I’m finding it difficult to place with an agent. It’s a Sherlock Holmes novel that introduces a vampire tragi-villain for which I’ve planned a series of novels. Is this too unclear a genre to sell?
Hi Dean,
Here’s a link to the Special Report about working directly with publishers: http://writeanovelfast.com/putting-myself-out-of-business/. I think your novel’s genre is clear: it’s first and foremost a Sherlock Holmes novel, which has a vampire element.
All best,
Evan
