		<description>I liked most of your suggestions.  The tip about pronouns (#37) doesn&#039;t sound right to me when &quot;he or she&quot; is used.  It&#039;s sounds regressive or sexist.  Some writers use &quot;s/he&quot;, but it is cumbersome also.  The plural solution is one I use often.  I also use &quot;they&quot; for the singular since English doesn&#039;t provide the pronoun needed, and I resist cumbersome and sexist &quot;he or she.&quot;  I realize &quot;they&quot; is not correct, but rules in grammar evolve, and it may be considered correct in the future.  

I like your lists of words to remove.  I&#039;m happy to say I don&#039;t use &quot;that&quot; or &quot;a&quot; unless necessary.  I&#039;ve learned to drop &quot;seems&quot; or &quot;appeared.&quot;  Some of your points are funny when you refer to the refrigerator or the eyes.
